Defendant is barred by res judicata because as she did not raise the
issue of a homestead at the time of an earlier partition "forced
sale" of the property at issue, she is now barred from raising it.

In conducting a probation search of defendant's house, police failed
to follow knock-notice requirements embodied in California law and,
in so doing, violated the Fourth Amendment to the United States
Constitution.
